And how does it work?

Coaching is a results-orientated empowerment process, enabling you to feel supported whilst you gain clarity on what it is that you want, and how you might achieve it. It is a unique and distinct professional relationship which provides a confidential space for you to talk and think whilst you become familiar with what motivates, inspires and creates value in your life, and what can be left behind.

“The highest reward for a person’s toil, is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.”
John Ruskin

As your sounding board I may at times, with your permission, offer new and different perspectives or honest and unbiased advice. Often I will challenge you to clarify or reprioritize your direction, coaching you to proactively work out your own wise and effective strategies for approaching and overcoming hurdles, hindrances and anything else that holds you from achieving that which you desire.

Don’t expect to be provided with all the answers, that’s your job! I will though, empower you to do the work and find your own answers whilst supporting and encouraging you along the way. A life coach’s true currency is the questions we ask, rather that the answers we give.

I’ll be there to direct or guide you with developmental support, when you need to ‘check-in’ on the details along the way, for clarity, or simply to help you celebrate your triumphs (and there will be many!)

Ours is a partnership that is solely focused upon creating life-balance and well-being for you, so that you can get on with the important stuff - enjoying life!

What is not coaching
Should it become apparent that you require professional services beyond my accredited capabilities as a Life Coach (refer ICF Code of Ethics), such as a psychologist, therapist, counselor, dietician, or naturopath etc., I am happy to discuss this with you and assist in exploring options, however you remain accountable and responsible for all decisions and actions.

It is my role to assist you on your journey and the achievement of your vision in the capacity of Life Coach, and remember - there is no such thing as failure in the coaching relationship – only feedback!

How often, and for what period should I be coached?
Whilst you may choose any coaching format that suits you (monthly, one-off or ad-hoc), often clients ask me what type of program I would recommend. For maximum benefit, I strongly recommend that you consider committing to a coaching program for a minimum of 3 months as the benefits of coaching increase over time. You will maximize your growth opportunity and experience true value, as this allows us to go deeper and create lasting change, rather than a superficial band-aid approach which may feel good for a short term, until the next hurdle appears.

Investing in a monthly coaching relationship may at first seem daunting, but remember to consider it as just that – an investment in your most valuable asset – YOU. In working holistically to a grass roots level with your coach, you cannot fail to reap the rewards of success in any area of your life. Many clients experience a great deal of relief from emotional stressors after just one session, and enjoy enhanced clarity on their goals as a consequence.
